Karen has over 20 years experience working with clients from a wide range of different cultures, spiritualities, ages, genders, and sexualities. She offers a deep appreciation and respect for a client’s own journey, experience, culture, and values. Clients describe Karen’s presence as calming, which provides a sense of safety within the therapy setting. She works from a strengths perspective, as she looks towards the client’s inner strengths and builds on them to create an individualized therapy plan. She uses an eclectic approach, which includes aspects of solution focused therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy, attachment theory, family systems theory and narrative therapy.

Fees are $115+ per individual session, and $130+ per two-person session (couple or parent/child). Karen does direct bill to Non-Insured Health Benefits (NIHB) for treaty status, Indigenous clients. She also direct bills to Blue Cross and MPI (Highway Fatality Grief Counselling).
